Classic Boat Club of Western Australia

Launched in 1933, Spinaway was built for Mr J Bateman by Mr. Egidlo Farozich at the Whittaker Brothers timber yards in Subiaco, Perth.

She was constructed to the well known Hackett design from America, with modifications by Mr R. Bastón.

After her launch at Fremantle Harbour she was taken up the river to the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club.

Spinaway  served the Royal Australian Navy as HMAS Spinaway during WWII.
