Bridge deck motor cruiser 40ft. Carvel planked. 10 mph. Drafts 4' 2" aft, 2' 6" forward. 6 berths. Engine room 10' long. 4 portlights in each side of RFD, Tumblehome sides at stern. Said to have been last vessel designed by Lars Halvorsen before his death on 5 October 1936.
- 1936 David Theodore Nicholson commissioned Lars Halvorsen to build Mischief.
- 1937/01 completed.
- 1937/02/25 registered, Sydney. WW2 listed on register of No.2/3 Division, Volunteer Coastal Patrol, seagoing.
- 1941/11 commenced part time with Naval Auxiliary Patrol (NAP).
- 1942/11/14 requisitioned to work full time with NAP, armament: 1x .303 Vickers machine gun forward, 2x Mk.VII depth
charges, 6x midget depth charges.
- 1943/01/15 (or 18) commissioned, tender to shore bases HMAS Rushcutter & HMAS Penguin.
- 1943/02 sent to patrol entrance to Botany Bay to protect the Bunnerong Power station from anticipated attack by Japanese
midget submarines, with Marlean (qv), sighted and hunted submarine off entrance 02/23.
- 1944/06/30 removed from service.
- 1945/10/27 sold by auction at Sydney.
